The Brief:

Create a book cover that is aimed towards the horror/thriller genre using suitable fonts and imagery to emphasise the story with special regards to the layout making sure the typography and visuals are in the correct positions to draw in the reader.

Design Concept:

The concept that was utilised was
a horror/thriller genre which came
up with the title called "the Rustle".
Using strong bright red font to suggested
evil and the font to give a gothic type
of feel. The imagery is a mix between
Adobe Photoshop for the leaves and
the monster with the hand was created
in Adobe Illustrator.

Tools Used:

Adobe Photoshop was used to create the
leaf mask for the book. The leaf imagery are my own photos, so no need for permission to use. Adobe Illustrator was used to create the monster dwelling in the bush and Adobe InDesign was used to put the layout together. The body copy on the page chapter spread were text given by
the client. The leaf & blood illustrations were created in Adobe Illustrator.
